Here we aim to post all changes and updates/news regarding the Development of the Medieval DarkRP Server.

| Base server has been created. We will be creating the jobs/shipments/config and also choosing a map during this time. We will also enter Beta as well if the server goes that far. The goal is to gather/build a new community and eventually have flowing traffic between our servers, as well as offer a break from a gamemode. I know you all can't stand to play DarkRP for 6 hours straight, so why not 4 hours of DarkRP, rage quit or get bored and then join our Medieval DarkRP server for 2 hours? That's what we're trying to offer.
Once we finish the essentials we will go into Beta and begin play testing the content. After finishing touches and balancing we will purchase another server with X amount of slots. This will be discussed in the future as funds from our current server will go into this server, thereby reducing the funds available to pay for our main server.
Anyways, in summary, we are just laying out the foundation/plans for the Medieval DarkRP. It will be a serious roleplay server. We are not strict on HOW you roleplay, just as long as you do it. We don't want people running around as the "Galactic Trade Federation of Union Officers", but we also don't require players to speak ye old engrish or be anal about spelling/grammar/etc. I will begin coding bit by bit this week and be doing a bunch of coding this weekend due to many tests this week.
We are looking for help however, mainly we need to find player model addons that fit the theme on the Steam Workshop. Garrysmod.org addons will not work, they must be uploaded on the Steam Workshop in order for FastDL to work. Any help will be rewarded - reply below if you're interested. | |

| Kind of obvious, but I've only been on one other Medieval server, and for weapons they used oblivion/skyrim weapons. Throwing knives, daedric short sword, long bows, things like that. They had a map with a main "square" with a central castle which served as the pd. There were no guns at this time, so it's all melee combat with some archery. There were no arrest sticks, it was all role-playing, forcing someone in a cage or executing them publicly in front of the whole town. Just some things to think about when coding the server and posting ideas. After work ill send you some workshop links that I know of off the top of my head, searching "medieval" gets you some good ideas. Anyways good luck! | |

| I think we went on the server you guys played on. The map changed, and all their jobs were there. Overall I thought the server was sort of garbage with nothing really to do. They had NPCs to kill for money which was their main RPG element and pinnacle of their server. The jobs were not interesting and bland and just plain boring. With what we're planning, we can probably offer a more interesting, interactive, and overall more enjoyable Medieval experience. However, we will still have faults and a long way to go before we can make that happen. | |

What are you thinking for maps? Like a countryside town and a castle or something like that? | |

| Yeah, the current map is small as we will start with minimal slots (18-24). It's a small town with a castle. There are wilderness and underground caves to explore though. | |

| I'd say it has a bit more developing to go through.
Im pretty sure they are not done with it 100%. Am I correct?
I doesnt look quite like a "finished" map. Too much open space.
Needs moar trees.
I like the already made places like the village and castle area. Very nice! | |

| Yeah, for now we can experiment with the maps we have to choose from. I like this map because it's quite small and fits our current needs. Also got some neat spots. | |

| Haven't worked on it all week except for when you were on, so like...on Tuesday. I've been having a busy week, and now a busy weekend. So dunno. We are not planning on releasing the server anytime soon. This was supposed to be developed during Spring Break in the middle of April. | |
