Serious RP Night

I was talking to Snackk about me doing some events I had planned and he liked the idea of SeriousRP Night since he also had that idea before. Before I work out the details and submit them to Snackk, I need to work out some details from you guys!

How serious do you want this RP to be?

When should this event be held? (Friday/Saturday night)

How often should we have this event?

What cannon should be followed?

And anything else you'd like to see.

Pretty serious.

Ummm...Saturday I think. I will work with whatever it is.

Every other week or every other 2 week.

Cannon?

Regular players only preferably. If that is even possible?

Cannon is something that the original story has established to be true. Like, in HL2, it is cannon that Gordon Freeman has brown hair. It is cannon that the Civil Protection is human. Headcannon is the most accepted fan speculation. Like, how the combine are trained would be headcannon because the original story never talks about that.

So how would we incorporate that in darkrp?

Every weekend, we should make a new topic. This topic could serve as a sign-up sheet more or less.
The person who makes the topic can create a unique/different backstory every week. So, the author creates the backstory.

Everybody else who is interested can "sign-up"/submit their role. Using like a format or something...and they have to roleplay that character for that day.

I think we could do it once a month or something to start out with, and then as more and more people join in we could start doing it more daily.

I think one of you guys have to explain and show an example in game.

I think it's a great idea. Cause me and Kakarien (Cykes) had a pretty fucking awesome time playing HL2RP (The most serious RP on gmod) last night. But the only issue, is that HL2RP is for mostly older people. I dont think our younger players on DarkMatter would be able to do it. I think the idea of an HL2RP server would be amazing, however we've already got medieval going.. If it was something we could set up privately, i,e lock the server and hand out passwords to people who sign up i'd agree with you. Keep us Updated Snackk!
