| So yeah, made this for a centralized place to note your opinion.
And now, here's mine:
Old:
Pros: +Fun for players, as it makes death less of a huge deal that utterly stops the fun flow of battle +Intense moments- dive into no mans land like an angel of life and bring that retarded Jedi/501st back to life to defend you as you flee with 20 hp and get away like the dirty medic you are. Also- shit on Sith because you just revive the team while they flap and swing at you in vague hopes of ending your existence. +Easy to understand +1 medic can handle an entire mission, given they're good enough.
Cons: -Makes people act stupid, since death doesn't matter -Makes events harder, as to challenge us they have to hedge hordes of skilled enemies and do fucky shit in order to meaningfully stop us -Medic recommendations viewed as lesser, most likely, due to how simple the job actually is. -Bad for GM's since well, whirling ball of death is kinda fuckin' dumb.
New:
Pros: +More complex, could be more satisfying for medics with speedier head sponges to figure out how to properly keep up with people. +-Intense moments- with how ass carrying bodies are, you can have intense 'save people' moments, though you *also* have a high chance of *dying* so well, yeah, people will yell at you. +Better Recc's, since your job is actually complex, so when people go 'medic battalion', the higher ups might actually think thats *legit*(even though the old system it was also legit for reasons, but whatev.) +Good for GM's, encourages non-retarded gameplay.
Cons: -Too complex, some people just are too simple minded to handle the unsaid intricacies of the mod, and well, yeah might turn people off, and is unfun to younger peeps who ain't experienced with games and strategies enough to figure out how to handle the burdens of the system. -Shithead builders and up will do your job for you, so well, congrats, you're only useful for healing. -Overload/stress, shits not easy, and if you fuck up, well, its gonna suck because that might lead to the entire team being dead because of the fact you can only spawn 2 god damn beds. -Low amount of stuff, so well, congrats, you gotta autistically charge through 5 kerchillion miles to get your bed, only to return to find either A: Builder and up have done your job, or B: The entire army's moved on even *further* by the time you get there.
Personal Thoughts: Old if we get self heal back, as without tylenol medics would become a pretty quickly garbage battalion, as we can't heal above 100hp, and no amount of maxed evade, reflect, or resistance is going to save you from just dying like a cuck.
New if we get a higher number of beds/drips/bloodbags/beakers/drugpots, so we don't have the shitty moment of dragging beds and drips along the dusty trail only to have someone else do our job, or everyone to respawn by the time we get there.

| Honestly I prefer the new system. It makes me fell like there is consequence for death rather than an instant revive. It adds more to the role play system. I would say maybe decrease the re spawn time so not every player has to participate in it. I suppose wee can play the some events with the old system for a bit, and deaths can be taken into account when giving promotions. | |

| Old Diffidently by a long shot... its such a hassel for medics just to bring their beds inches and inches and be left behind in the dust and then having to come over to the battle field to pick up a body or to heal.... it would just be easier with the old one with the Defibs.... and if there isnt a medic on the player have to wait quite a bit to eventually be respawned.... its kind of annoying and inconstant. | |

| Honestly, I believe both systems are fine. The new medical system gives people an incentive to not hold w towards enemies, while the old one prioritizes convenience. Both systems are fine, however if we were to go back to the old medic system, I think new jobs are in order. I personally don't believe every medic should have the best medkit/defibs/everything else. I think they should have to work for their gear, and buy work I mean just buy the job. The gear should be spread out so there's still the whole "Okay, I shouldn't die because the only medic on can't revive me." Obviously it won't be as bad as essentially being in timeout for 3 minutes, like the current system, but running back to the fight still is time consuming/annoying. | |
